During the 2016-2017 school year, The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) will administer the PSAT/NMSQT to all 10th grade students and the PSAT 8 to all 8th grade students, with parental consent. The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) will pay for all 10th grade students in the state of Georgia to take the PSAT/NMSQT on either October 19, 2016 or November 2, 2016. Stone Mountain High School will administer the PSAT/NMSQT on October 19, 2016. The DeKalb County School District will pay for all 8th grade students to take the PSAT 8. Every middle school will administer the PSAT on November 2, 2016. This link provides details relative to the benefits of participating in this assessment as well as how the assessment is scored.
Although the GaDOE and DSCD will cover the cost of both the PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 8, students will only be administered these assessments with parental consent. If you would like for your child to participate in the above assessment, please complete the information below and return to your school’s counseling department by October 12, 2016.
