Student Dress Code

 
 
 
The following clothing items are not to be worn
on Stone Mountain High School's campus
 
  • Clothing promoting the use of Alcohol or Drugs
  • Clothing displaying offensive information
  • Shirts that expose the midriff
  • Halter Tops/Tank Tops
  • Shorts or skirts more than three inches above the knees
     (all around, front to back)
  • Pajamas
  • Bedroom/Mesh Slippers
  • Hoodies worn on the head, hats and sunglasses (inside the building)
  • Bandannas of any kind
  • Clothing or jewelry, with studded, pointed, or sharpened edges
  • Towels worn around the neck
  • Do-rags
  • Pants/trousers worn off the waist
  • Blankets
  • See through shirts or blouses
  • Leggings worn without a dress, skirt, or sweater that is at least three inches above the knees (all around, front to back)
  • Pants made of stretch fabric with or without pockets (legging, jeggings or any fabric or material without appropriate length shirt or sweater)
  • Jeans with holes (Even if something is worn underneath)
  • No book bags/nap sacks/fanny packs allowed in the classroom/ These items shoud be stored in your locker at the beginning of the school day
 
Students who violate these rules will be subject to disciplinary action and/or item(s) will be confiscated. Dress code is subject to change to promote an atmosphere conducive to learning.
